Hi there! My name is Megan, and I'm currently in my second year studying Design at Loughborough University. I am an innovative, outgoing and hard-working individual with an artistic flair. My creative background gives me a keen eye for detail and precision, I stay open minded with the hope of surpassing expectations and meeting deadlines.

With a keen interest in all things creative, I’m highly motivated to fulfil your design dreams. I am passionate and committed to completing tasks creatively, punctually and to a high standard. If you are in need of a creative and practical extra pair of hands, then I may be the tasker for you!

Skills

I am proficient with professional 3D modelling software such as SOLIDWORKS and Keyshot, and am currently teaching myself how model/animate with Blender. I'm also very knowledgeable when it comes to content creation and the Adobe Suite, with over 4 years of experience in developing engaging and innovative digital and print designs. In addition, I'm highly adept at visual strategy, layout development, branding, as well as print and new media advertising.

Work Experience

• Design Intern: Internship with a sustainably focused company, who create technology-based solutions with the goal of making zero-waste from factory floors to the supermarkets safe and affordable. This opportunity developed my design skills and expertise in different software packages.

• Social Media Manager: Working with a professional PGA coach, I helped to manage their social media accounts, specialising in content creation. This involved editing raw video footage, animating, creating and applying eye-catching graphics, and implementing social media marketing strategy.

• Volunteer Creative / Graphic Designer: Volunteering role at a charity called Editors for Impact, where creatives and editors create a variety digital content (posters, videos, branding) for partnered charities. I took lead in projects where I’d collaborate with other creatives, and consult clients to discuss and outline their design requirements, composing project briefs.

• Fundraising Representative: In this ongoing role, I manage and organised a large variety of events, projects, and campaigns to raise money for charity, as well as designing the graphics for social media and the events we fun. I've aided in facilitating the fundraising for various charities and events, for example in our most recent £10 challenge, we raised over £1000 for a local charity!

• Sales Consultant: Consulting customers and aiding the decision process regarding the design of clothes and furniture, I'd work in the sales floor, delivery room and office. My tasks consisted of stock taking, replenishment, parcel picking, customer consultation, resolving queries as well as processing home orders/loans.

Alongside creative work, I have also been employed in various retail & consulting roles from 2018, which have enhanced my confidence, social, and time management skills.
