Work Experience
Hastings Direct (Digital and Change intern): I worked within the automation team learning to navigate and build their framework and develop tests. Also provided feedback and suggestions on their training program and helped them to implement their student internship scheme.
-SOMO global (Digital Development Intern): Assisted with the redesign of the SOMO website with their USA based team as well as gaining a qualification on the basics of AWS
-Cabinet Office (Digital Development Intern): Supported Xansium to deliver due diligence tool for Grants Management Function as well as bug test the honors website
-University of Birmingham Outreach (Progression Mentor) : 1 on 1 mentoring with several year ten students at a local school helping them explore their career and education options for the future focusing on encouraging them to reach their full potential
Skills
-Programming: I'm very proficient in coding Java, Visual Basic and Python through my time at school and university. Whilst I was with Hastings Direct, I built tests using Java, Cucumber, Gherkin and GitHub.
-UX Design: I coded using Visual Basic during my A Levels and as a result have a lot of experience designing the UX for software inside Visual Basic.
-Google docs, sheets, forms and slides: I frequently make use of all of these for budgeting, university work and conducting research.
-Social Media Managment: I have spent time managing social media accounts like Twitter, Instagram and TikTok for small student lead blogs and companies. I also have experience with facebook groups which are a key part of communication for societies at university.
-Content Creation: I have experience creating and editing videos using CapCut and Picsart for tiktok (example) as well as creating infographics and thumbnails for personal use.
-Research: Constantly researching different ideas and solutions whilst in university and putting together summaries as well as for my EPQ at school where I put together a whole dissertation (here).
