Louie - Birmingham City University

Hello! My name is Louie, and I'm a third year Journalism student at Birmingham City University. I am a hardworking and reliable individual, with a passion for writing and creating digital content. As I begin my final year of my studies, I look forward to gaining new experiences and boosting my work portfolio across different industries with Paperound , applying my qualities of forward thinking and organisation to my professional work.

I was a creative intern with Bareface Media Advertising Agency, where I worked with the account manager to brief the media, creative and research staff whilst also contributing to the formulation of marketing strategies. I also was able to effectively use a wide range of social media platform with the aim to produce content for the desired audience.

I have also undertaken a work experience placement with East Village PR Agency, in this role I created digital content for the website and social media channels, whilst dealing and improving relations with our clients.

Alongside my studies, I write for the School of Media news website, Birmingham Eastside, sourcing original news stories whilst also organising and conducting my own interviews with my stories being published on the site.

In addition, I have maintained a professional WordPress blog for over a year, with examples of journalistic content https://youngsblog685987145.wordpress.com

I also have a YouTube channel, on the channel I have created a wide range of digital content ranging from a podcast, to interviews to mini- documentaries. One video can be seen below where I joined a local cyclist on his training regime before his cycling journey across South America, with all videos and editing done by myself on Adobe Premiere.
