Conduct research on the current state of mental health (specifically anxiety & depression) in private and public sectors in the UK. Specifically I require research on the following: treatments available (including treatments not available on the NHS), each treatments effectiveness, the number of anxiety and depression diagnosis in the UK, the trajectory of reported diagnosis, typical cost of private mental health care for anxiety & depression, average waiting times to see a psychiatrist/psychologist after GP referral, % of psychiatric medication (SSRIs, Benzodiazepines, etc) prescribed by non psychiatric physicians (typically GPs), any statistics on mis-diagnosis of anxiety or depression related disorders, NHS budgets for mental health over the past 10 years, reliance on auxiliary services such as counselling from charities such as mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/), and finally what changes have been made to psychiatrists curricula in the past 20 years.
